Pictures In And Around Lizard Head Pass

Lizard Head Pass In September 2002, while on the way to Telluride, I arrived at the Lizard Head Pass summit on Highway 145 with my friend Joe. We pulled over and was amazing at all the scenery! At the time, my camera was a now-obsolete Mavica, and although the pictures are the greatest in quality, I trust you can get a "handle" of some of the region's beauty.
Lizard Head Pass The San Juan mountains have many jagged and pointed peaks, which I believe is connected to this mountain region being a volcanic area a long time ago.
Lizard Head Pass Another peak that is shaped more like a butte.
Lizard Head Pass I am pretty sure I was standing close to the summit, facing in the direction that leads to Telluride and San Miguel County.
Colorado One photo as we were coming closer to Telluride's valley.
